OUR THEMATIC AREAS

1. GENDER QUALITY

We champion the fight for gender equality, working to develop and uphold standards and create an environment in which every woman and girl can exercise their human rights, free from all forms of violence and line up their full potential. We also believe that promoting gender equality is not only women's responsibility but everyone's.

3. PEACE & SECURITY

OWA focuses on empowering and building the capacity of grass root women and girls so that they can actively and effectively mediate peace, take part in decision making, planning, budgeting, monitoring, and assessment of service and enhance accountability in their entities.

5. LIVELLIHOOD

OWA develops the capacity, capability, and occupational and entrepreneurial skill set of marginalized women to increase their readiness for starting their own ventures. Through partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders including community-based organizations, we create an enabling environment for technological and innovation, and to facilitate effective scaling up of interventions to achieve large scale impact.

2. CHILD PROTECTION

We strive for a violence free community that advances children's rights and equality for girls. We empower children, child mothers, young people and communities to make vital changes that tackle the root causes of discrimination against girls, exclusion, and vulnerability through sensitization, campaigns, and civic education.

4. INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

Through ICT, we expect to make a significant contribution to the use of ICT that is in line with the National Visionso that women can take advantage of the opportunities presented by ICT in order to effectively address local gender related problems.

6. EDUCATION

We typically engage in a variety of activities to support educational initiatives and improve learning outcomes for individuals and communities by providing access to education to those who are physiologically tortured such as child mothers. we also offer training and capacity building of other CBOs to enhance their pedagogical skills.
